Internships available for First Nations screen creators

C44 and the South Australian Film Corporation are together helping even more South Australian First Nations screen creatives to forge new careers in television production with the return of their First Nations Internship Program, which is now also open to tertiary students.

Up to three internships will be created for First Nations practitioners to be mentored by experienced C44 staff. Mentoring will occur across production, on set and within the production office.

Each internship requires up to 80 hours of unpaid work that will include hands-on experience in television production. Interns will learn production skills and have the opportunity to create original content.

Positions are available in roles including:

  • Operations Assistant
  • Production Assistant
  • Marketing and Communications
  • Broadcast Assistant
  • Editor/VFX/Animation

 Eligibility Requirements

  • Applicants must identify as being First Nations (Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander), and must be a South Australian Resident as defined by the SAFC Terms of Trade.
