Hosted by our very own program maker, Fahim from Farda TV, the 5th annual Ghan International Film Festival Australia (GIFFA) is coming to South Australia this spring. Featuring exciting films from Afghanistan and the surrounding regions, the GIFFA Film Festival aims to showcase some of the best productions filmed in the Middle East, right here in Australia.

To kick off the opening night of the festival, learn about the trials and tribulations three brave Afghani women face on their journey through life. Directed by the talented Sahraa Karimi, the film focuses on how each of the women in the film learn to face challenges on their own for the first time and the importance of independence.
The three ladies starring in this inspiring film are Arezoo Ariapoor, Fereshta Afshar and Hasiba Ebrahimi.
From the talented Roya Sadat, A Letter To The President details the story of a woman who accidentally killed her abusive husband in self-defence. With all hope lost, Soraya (Leena Alam) makes a bold attempt to write a letter to the president of Afghanistan and restore her freedom.
